no name

some relationships have no name
try as you might they defy definition
almost as though they never exist
anonymous unattested accomplices
like a tasty secret
crush of cotton wool
flighty fancy imagery

don’t sculpt out a silhouette
or reveal into recognition
if pulled to the level of mortality
they lose the status of infinity

if you have ever encountered
a relationship with no name
**smile**
count yourself fortunate
for the rest will not refrain
to flaunt
and
eventually dismantle

the relationship
that once had
no name

  1. Dear Sonya,

Thank you for this poem which possesses such depth. This brings to mind how I prefer to let the no-name relationship(s) remain unspoken.

    All good wishes,

    robert
