from the heart
a secret escapes
through the tongue
too late…
for recall
hear the shatter
of broken trust

I’ve heard this Bomb explode, when the secret escaped my mouth and His Trust is me, crashed to pieces.
Its terrible. Never betray a person who loves you.

Dear Sonya,
Thank you for this powerful poem which speaks to the truth of the need to manage the tongue which can hurt or heal.
All good wishes,

I heard this in an Urdu poem: The tongue/words have no teeth, but when it/they bite there is a lot of pain.
Similarly it is powerful enough to heal.
The choice is ours.
