glass hopes
to be
as strong as iron
while iron pines
to reflect
one’s inner beauty
though it may
one day crack

Isn’t this just so typical of us humans? We are always craving more and looking over that fence at the apparently greener grass on the other side… Until we are finally on the other side and then realise that we are just as restless as before and what we had was just as good if not better… I say that this poem tells me to be grateful and for that profound message I say thank you, Sonya!

Dear Sonya,
Thank you very much for sharing this poem with us. The path may indeed be in the hoping and the pining, whether one is glass, iron, or other.
All good wishes,
robert
