breath is born

as awareness pours in
through the pores of the soul
lyrics and music
carry us heavenward
with harmony

distancing ourselves from
melody and meanings
beyond even happiness
silence dances in stillness

and the realisation
that breath is born before sound

above the ego
breath flows from me to you
recognising no identity

devotion lies within
the subtle vibrations

allow grace to flow
from your sound to mine
from my breath to yours

all is only one
only the One is All

this poem was a grateful inspiration just after i completed a 40 day meditative practise challenge followed by a devotional music session (satsang). few months ago i was in a very frightening space and the daily morning practise helped me detox mentally and emotionally. i now feel (and hope) that i will be looked after no matter what, just got to keep going, make myself available for the effortless grace that surrounds us all.
