yes we knew
we need not speak to each other
expressions of words
an inconvenience
deceptive
flattering
the distance between us
the width of a mustard seed
yet we lived lonely lives
had to leave, though i never left
did not leave to return
what did you leave
for me to come back to
i heard life is circular
and fate makes us relive lives
the past is never too far away
the future was now
the evening before
is celebrated more than the day
how i wish we could only live
in a state of anticipation
the bluest of moons appears pale
the faintest of echoes still vibrate
i left over and over
you never asked for me,
even once
[but that would mean using words]

Love this one. So much said here with so few ‘words’.

Dear Sonya,
Thank you for this beautiful creation.
It took me to a longing, a longing for connection which I sense is here and now and yet sometimes seems so far away.
All good wishes,
robert

Thanks Robert, Connections fade over time and distance but never really end, do they?
