what i wish for

if you asked me what i wished for
i would ask you to take me
whilst i am smiling, touching lives
in silence and awareness
alert, upright ready to serve
head bowed in surrender
soul brimmed with devotion

patience is rewarded, but
willingness even more so
may i ever be both
patient and willing
~
i am surrounded
though alone
completely alone
alone, but complete
take me as i am
it is all i wish for

Inspiration: This poem came to me after I volunteered for a Meditation workshop the past 3 days. Experiencing solitude in togetherness and meditative bliss…
