mid-eternity

live in the now, they say
what is the present moment
but a point between the perpetual past
and the forever future

and though time moves on
time leaves just as much of itself behind
i will always linger in the midst of eternity
the future becomes as endless
as was the past, eternal

how do you count what cannot be measured
what do you measure where there is no starting point

life is made up of instants
each instant is timeless

capture the moment, try
before it begins
it has already ended
yet that is where we exist
in the middle of a moment
mid-eternity
confined!
