did i need proof
or a mere sign
though i waited
a nearly endless wait
i never lost track
of my awareness

when i am aware
all is evident
[why then do i wait for evidence?]

time moves nowhere
[what then is the need for patience?]

your presence is everywhere
[how then do i search for you?]

if only i had learnt
to erase our separation
but they taught me
to be independent
when i should have
surrendered

surrendered my cravings
surrendered my misgivings
giving it all up
is the way to receive
abundantly

Many fleeting signs grace our lives, yet we lose our way when we seek evidence. Miracles and power surround us, but our grasping keeps us from receiving. I wish us all a journey of awareness and surrender—for in letting go, we open to life’s true abundance.
